Expressive mixed-media paintings rooted in place, memory, nature, and the beautifully ordinary moments that become part of who we are.
I grew up knowing that some places could hold you.
My grandparents’ home was one of them. My Nanny was my first home. She was fierce, bold, safe and constant. Even after life moved us elsewhere, summers brought me home to Nanny and Pa.
Years later, I began painting her church. Somewhere between sketching the steeple and remembering all that building represented, I found myself crying over the canvas.
That’s when I understood more clearly what I had been painting all along.
Places hold stories. Landscapes hold people. Sometimes, ordinary ground becomes holy ground.

A collection of places, stories and landscapes that have stayed with me.

I create custom paintings inspired by the places and landscapes that hold your stories.
Around here, there’s usually paint on the table and something new taking shape. Come hang out in the studio, see what’s on my easel and follow along as I figure out what we’re making next
